Native Instruments have released KOMPLETE START, a freely downloadable bundle of virtual instruments and audio effects for use in any VST, AU, and AAX plugin compatible digital audio workstation on PC and Mac.

2. Spicy Guitar is a free plugin by Keolab which is a physical model of an acoustic guitar synthesizer. The great things about Spicy Guitar is that it has 2 different positions for each chord, chord inversions, one-hand up and down strumming, adjustable strumming speed, assignable switch key to trigger controls and much more.

To cut off Rtas virtual instruments in the next version with no aax versions to replace them would be a suicide move for avid, and they can't afford to wait until everyone ports over to aax for the next release. I expect to see Rtas support or a Rtas bridge in the 64 bit release.

KOMPLETE START features six virtual synthesizers, nine sample-based instruments, two effects, over 1,500 audio loops, along with the freeware Player editions of Kontakt and Reaktor. Most of the included content was previously available for free download separately, but interested users can now find them conveniently packed into a single product bundle.

Beginner producers who are looking for their first set of quality music-making tools will certainly find that KOMPLETE START provides the perfect starting point. Virtual synthesizers like LazerBass, Carbon 2, and TRK-01 Bass deliver professional-quality electronic sounds which can be further enhanced with the included Supercharger compressor. The Band and World sound packs for Kontakt Player provide classic guitar, bass, ethnic percussion, and drum tones which will be useful to any music composer. To grab your free copy of KOMPLETE START, register a user account on the Native Instruments website, click the GET KOMPLETE START button on the product page below and download the Native Access license manager software. Once you’ve installed and launched the manager, log in using your NI account credentials and you’ll be able to install any part of KOMPLETE START individually. The software can be used in any VST, AU, or AAX plugin compatible host or as standalone in the free Komplete Kontrol app.
